Product Description

The Viper HD 3000 is one of the three latest additions to Vortex's offering of Rangefinder products. The extremely effective angle compensated laser rangefinder features four targeting modes (Normal Mode, First Mode, Last Mode and ELR (Extender Laser Range) Mode) for any ranging environment. The primary HCD (Horizontal Component Distance) range mode provides key angle compensated range information required by many users that require ranging capability over this sort of distance in a simple, quick to read display. The Viper HD 3000 also has a LOS (Line of Sight) range mode and scan feature and has a new red OLED display keeping the readout clear in all lighting conditions.

The HD Optical System, optimized with select glass elements delivers exceptional resolution, cuts chromatic aberration and provides outstanding colour fidelity along with edge-to-edge sharpness and light transmission in combination with XR™ Plus Multi-Coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces to provide maximum light transmission for clarity and excellent low-light performance.

O-rings seal the Viper HD 3000 for waterproof performance. Ideal for sporting use such as golf or target shooters, the Vortex Viper HD 3000 is sure to be a useful addition to your kit bag.

Compact, ergonomic and lightweight at just 9.1oz / 258g the Viper HD 3000 is easy to pack or you can clip the unit to a belt, pocket, or other flat edged surface for easy access. Clip can be mounted to right or left side of the unit or completely removed. Runs on a standard CR123 battery.

Accessories include a new design of soft carry case, Wrist lanyard, Bungee cord lanyard, Hook & Loop Harness attachment, Utility Clip, 2.5mm Hex Wrench / Allen Key, Lens cloth and CR123 battery.

Performance Features:

Scan - This feature displays continual distance readings when panning across a landscape or tracking a moving target.

Easy-to-use Menu - Intuitive, easy-to-use menus feature a simple, clean illuminated display.

'Normal' Mode - The standard mode providing the target's range with the strongest range result. Recommended for most situations.

'First' Mode - Displays the closest distance when ranging - Ideal for ranging smaller targets in front of other larger, more reflective targets.

'Last' Mode - Displays the furthest distance when ranging - Ideal for ranging a specific target behind a group of objects such as trees or bushes.

ELR - Ideal for ranging targets at extreme distances. A slightly longer response time allows greatly extended range distances. Best used on a tripod.
